- Measuring the chest: Measure with a tape measure horizontally at the widest part, without tightening.
- Shoulder/Sleeve: Measure from one shoulder to the other; measure from the outside of the shoulder to the wrist.
- Length: Measure from the shoulder, above the collar, down to the bottom.
- Measure with underwear: With the top you typically wear underneath.
- Measure in the afternoon: Body measurements are more realistic then.
- Body-hugging vs. Loose: Between two sizes → for body-hugging smaller, for better layering/comfort larger.
- Broad shoulders/strong arms: One size up for more freedom of movement in the shoulders and sleeves.
- With a hoodie/sweater underneath? Consider one size up.
- Waist larger than weight: Based primarily on chest and shoulder, then check waist/length.
- Fabric and filling: Thick padding adds volume; if the desire is very body-hugging, consider choosing smaller.
